Use unique sub-campaign titles and stories for each unique situation for maximum success.
Part 1: Sub-campaign titles #
Newly created sub-campaigns will inherit their title from the main campaign. You can always go into the sub-campaign and change the title to whatever you’d like; however, this isn’t always practical.
This is particularly important for peer-to-peer and do-it-yourself layouts, where you’ll have multiple fundraisers registering campaigns under your one main campaign. If title consistency is important, you might consider templating your title.
STEP 1 – Click ‘Sub-campaigns’ in the sidebar menu. The number is how many you have.

STEP 2 – Click ‘Sub-campaign content’ in the new sidebar, then look for the heading ‘Sub-campaign title.‘

Use the main title – Sub-campaign titles will match the main campaign’s
Use a custom title – Sub-campaign titles will be whatever you insert into the ‘Enter a custom title’ box.
- {{first_name}} will enter either the individual’s first name or the full Team name into that spot in the title;
- {{name}} will enter the full name of the individual or the full Team name into that sport in the title.
Note: Even if you customize the title, this will still be a ‘suggestion’ because sub-campaign owners can always change the title.

Part 2: Sub-campaign stories #
There are two parts to a sub-campaign story:
- The customizable part – which is edited directly in the sub-campaign
- The automatically included part is dictated by the main campaign and only editable from the main campaign (team members of the sub-campaign cannot change it)
For the story shown at the bottom of each sub-campaign, you have three options:
- Use the same story that’s in your main campaign;
- Customize another story specifically for the bottom of sub-campaigns; or
- Have no story appear automatically on sub-campaigns (but sub-campaign team members can still write their own).
To change, go to the same menu described above and look for ‘Include an additional story in sub-campaigns automatically?’
