If you do not reach your campaign goal, what happens next depends on your campaign type.
For All-or-nothing campaigns – #
Contributions are a ‘pledge,’ where the promise of a transaction is given and held until either the deadline or the goal is reached.
If the goal is NOT reached by the deadline, you have nothing to do. Credit cards or PayPal accounts will not be charged.
You can charge your supporters ONLY if you reach your campaign goal by the deadline (click here for more info).
For Keep-it-all campaigns – #
Contributions are immediate transactions, with the funds going directly toward your Stripe and/or PayPal account, no matter whether the goal is achieved or not.
It’s important to note that no matter your campaign type, you can always try again. Our advice is to use the resources available and take the time to plan your approach in depth, perhaps reduce your goal, and go for the smaller win.
