Crowdfunding campaigns can be as private or public as you choose.
Search engine indexing #
Live campaigns are automatically indexed by search engines (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, etc.) as well as the platform library. This means anyone searching for your campaign via a search engine or the platform ‘Find’ sites can find it here (as long as it is launched. Unlaunched campaigns are always private).
To turn off this indexing and remove the possibility of someone searching for your campaign:
STEP 1 – Click ‘Settings’ in your campaign’s navigation menu, then ‘Privacy’ from the dropdown.

STEP 2 – Uncheck both boxes under the ‘Search’ heading. Don’t forget to save!

Expectations on campaign sharing #
Your campaign is a website; anyone who has the link will be able to see it. If you would like to keep your campaign as private as possible, set the expectation with your network that you’d prefer them NOT to share your campaign via social media or any other venue. Speak to your supporters directly, or write this clearly in your story.
