Error code 539041 means that your PayPal account is registered in a country that cannot use our system.
Did you try to contribute to a campaign and receive this error message? Please get in touch with the campaign owner and let them know! You may also let us here at ConnectionPoint know, and we can try to contact the owner.
When PayPal is used to process contributions outside the United States and Canada, ConnectionPoint needs to comply with certain requirements regarding raising money.
Our system can be used in any country with the ability to send and receive payments through PayPal*, in 25+ currencies worldwide.
If you cannot register a PayPal account in one of those countries, then, unfortunately, these requirements mean you cannot use any ConnectionPoint platform.
We are truly sorry about that, and we want to emphasize that the requirements are in no way a comment on the legitimacy and worth of your project. It comes down to our requirements to work within certain existing legal and regulatory frameworks that govern international online transactions, fundraising activities, and PayPal policies.
That being said, we’ll keep working on expanding the list of countries where our platforms can operate.
Truth be told, we do face some significant challenges with certain countries and regions. However, we haven’t given up! We think that as collaborative funding takes off, more and more possibilities will open up for doing good work around the world. And we intend to be where the action is, pushing to extend the limits.
Thank you for being so patient, and we hope you’ll stay in touch with developments at ConnectionPoint – and that one day, our platforms can help with your projects.
*Important note regarding campaigns from India: Although India appears on the list of countries on PayPal’s list of supported countries, personal campaign users in India cannot accept payments. If you’re having this issue, please get in touch with PayPal directly for assistance.
