If you have Products for purchase as a Reward item, you will have to consider sales taxes. The platform does NOT automatically calculate this. You will have to determine the price of your reward item, including the sales tax (you can mention it is included in the description).
Donation-based campaigns without rewards do not have to worry about sales tax. However, income tax might be a concern if you aren’t a registered nonprofit in your country. It’s possible your government will consider any donations a ‘gift’ and, therefore, not taxable. This is something that differs greatly between countries and states/provinces, so be sure to educate yourself on the tax implications of your campaign.
