I was the closest thing to an Air Force pilot the Army ever allowed as I was an Army airplane pilot for 20 of 24 years. I've held leadership positions from Platoon Leader through Battalion Commander and had assignments in Germany, Korea, Colombia (South America), Ft Hood, Ft Bliss, West Point, the Pentagon and Iraq. I was qualified in two types of Army helicopters and five different Army airplanes flying over 4000 flight hours in his career. I was in the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 and served in different rolls while deployed to Iraq for various lengths of time in 2004, 2005 and 2006. I've even written a novel about flying Army airplanes called: "Call Signs  Stories from the little known Army airplane community."  Additionally, I'm an avid general aviation airplane owner and pilot for over 30 years and an ATP with FAA type ratings in the EMB-145, ERJ 170/175/190 and B777.

In February, I was asked to lead the Buckeye Wing and have enjoyed every challenge.  Please join me in keeping a living piece of history flying.
