Ascend - Leadership Through Athletics is a non-profit working to empower young women through leadership, health and wellness, service, and mountaineering. By combining physically challenging backcountry expeditions, holistic leadership training, and voluntary service, Ascend has been training women to be leaders in their communities since 2015. Originally operating in Afghanistan, Ascend is expanding its reach globally and will announce its new country location soon. 

Your support helps Ascend begin operations in new locations where young women and girls face challenges of war, poverty, discrimination, and lack of empowerment. Ascend offers a place for these women to create a community of teamwork, leadership, fitness, and volunteerism; where women discover and grow their self-esteem, self-knowledge, and self-sufficiency through athletic challenges culminating in the summit of a major peak in-country.
