Modeling has been shown to be a critical element in the acquisition of augmented language & device competence. Through your generosity, special ed teachers can serve the highest numbers of students using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

A Sensory Studio at McKinley Elementary will provide students with ASD a chance to access the tools and materials they need to regulate their bodies & be able to demonstrate more interest in learning, more on-task behavior and overall improved engagement.

Help us honor the unique sensory needs of Scholls Heights students who attend the Independent Skills Center by funding individual “Tactile Tubs,” a tool to help regulate their sensory systems allowing them to refocus in order to be ready to learn.

With your support, we can create individual Sensory Bins to help William Walker students in the specialized Independent Skills Center (ISC) program return safely to school, allowing them to benefit from sensory breaks to re-focus and be ready to learn.
