As a music educator with over 25 years teaching experience, I most value maintaining an environment for students that helps them develop a strong sense of creativity, empowerment, and belonging. I focus on delivering engaging content that is tuneful, beatful, artful, and (most importantly) joyful. This grant will allow Kinnaman to upgrade some of our older instruments, repair or replace others, provide students with a few new instrumental choices, and ensure equitable access for those children learning to play recorder.

Kinnaman students want the beat! We want to play drums while singing, moving, and playing other instruments. Currently we don't have enough drums to create music together, but with your generous support we can be jamming as a community by October!
