Desde su fundación, la Asociación Latinoamericana del Arpa trabaja como asociación civil sin fines de lucro en el desarrollo fundamentalmente del arpa de pedales, fomentando la unión y colaboración entre los arpistas, ofreciendo material educativo de calidad, y promoviendo nuestra música tanto en la región como a nivel mundial. También es de nuestro interés fomentar la colaboración y aprendizaje entre los ejecutantes de arpas tradicionales y de pedales, vinculando así la música latinoamericana con la preparación académica.
