Issue a refund directly from the platform (IF recent enough)!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Refunds for personal campaigns and organizational transactions OLDER than 30 days<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Since contributions are processed through external payment processors (PayPal or Stripe), when someone contributes to your Keep-it-all campaign, the money is instantly deposited into your PayPal or Stripe account, depending on which one you\u2019re using. <\/strong>In All-or-nothing campaigns, funds are not deposited until you hit the \u201cCharge customer\u201d button. See this article for more info.<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To refund the contribution(s) you received, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. How to refund on PayPal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Log in to your PayPal account at http:\/\/www.paypal.com<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click History in the menu at the top of the page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Locate the transaction(s) you want to refund and click the Issue Refund button for that transaction. Then, follow the prompts on the next page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. How to refund in Stripe<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Log in to your Stripe account at https:\/\/dashboard.stripe.com<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Click View account history<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Click the transaction(s) you want to refund<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Click issue refund <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Important: Our support agents cannot access Stripe\u2019s or PayPal\u2019s systems, so we cannot offer direct help with issuing refunds from your PayPal account.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How Do I Get My Fees Back?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    For transactions processed through Stripe:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Stripe automatically reverses the fees when you issue a refund. If you refund anything you\u2019ve received through Stripe, your fees will automatically go back to you \u2013 no further action is needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For transactions processed through PayPal:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    PayPal does NOT automatically reverse the fees when you issue a refund. Our support team manually performs fee reversals by request only. After you\u2019ve completed issuing your refund(s), if you would like your fees reversed, you will need to send us a link to your campaign page AND the following specific information about each refunded transaction:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
