Sales tax is NOT calculated by the platform.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have Products for purchase as a Reward item<\/a>, you will have to consider sales taxes. The platform does NOT automatically calculate this. You will have to determine the price of your reward item, including<\/em> the sales tax (you can mention it is included in the description). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donation-based campaigns without rewards do not have to worry about sales tax. However, income tax<\/strong> might be a concern if you aren’t a registered nonprofit in your country. It’s possible your government will consider any donations a ‘gift’ and, therefore, not taxable. This is something that differs greatly between countries and states\/provinces, so be sure to educate yourself on the tax implications of your campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
