# Will I receive a receipt for my contribution?

**You will always receive a confirmation email from the platform you’re using (FundRazr, CoCoPay, Crowdfundr, etc.) when you [make a contribution.](https://connectionpoint.com/help/docs/how-is-a-contribution-made/) Whether you receive a tax receipt will depend on the campaign owner’s status.**

ConnectionPoint allows registered non-profit organizations to issue tax receipts directly from the platform, provided they can legally do so. They can choose when this goes out: either immediately (and by ‘immediately’ we mean approximately one hour after your contribution) or after the end of the calendar year (approximately mid-January), which will contain your contributions for the whole year (likely to happen if the organization has a campaign offering recurring contributions).

***Note for CoCoPay supporters contributing to a campaign in the United States:**Some contributions via the CoCoPay platform to a campaign in the United States are received through the CoCoPay Giving Fund and are tax-deductible, so you will receive a tax receipt for your contribution.
