Sometimes, in an All-or-Nothing campaign, a pledge fails to turn into a transaction.
Unfortunately, no matter how much we urge supporters to ensure they have the funds to make a pledge, life happens, and pledge payments sometimes bounce back.
We cannot extend the campaign’s time frame (this would violate our Terms & Conditions) or push payments through, as we do not control the payment processors.
You will still be expected to fulfill those reward items you did receive funds for, even if you end up with fewer funds than you expected. This is why we always recommend including a buffer into your goal, meaning you add a percentage (a very general guideline is 10%; this is approximately how many pledges fail to come through) onto your goal just in case this situation arises. It also protects against higher-than-expected shipping fees.
Remember, you are directly responsible for your success, and proper planning is essential. Build a buffer into your goal to protect yourself against the unknown.
