# How to pause, restart, or finish a campaign

**Pause, restart, or finish a campaign at any time.**

You can start your campaign at any time - there are no restrictions on how long you have to edit it. If you've accidentally launched a campaign before you are ready, 'Pause' it to stop the clock and prevent any contributions. Pausing a campaign will also remove its searchability on the platforms' 'Find' pages and third-party search engines.

**Restrictions to remember:**

1. **You can 'pause' a live campaign.**
2. **You can restart a ‘paused’ campaign.**
3. **You canNOT restart a ‘finished’ campaign.**
4. **If you have an All-or-Nothing campaign, you cannot reset the campaign timer once you've hit 'Launch.' You may only pause the campaign.**
5. **If you have a Keep-it-All campaign and have not yet received any contributions, you may reset the 'Days running' to zero. [See this article for more information.](https://connectionpoint.com/help/docs/keep-it-all-campaigns-resetting-the-launch-date/)**

**These options are now in the campaign status section of your navigation menu, which might be green, orange, or red, depending on the current status:**

If your campaign is still in draft mode, click the Launch button to activate it, and then you can begin to share with your social network.

**Please note**: If you registered a sub-campaign under an organization, you may have restrictions on starting or stopping your campaign. Restrictions may also apply if you are running a campaign under one of our outside partners' platforms. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us, and we'll verify if these restrictions are currently in place.
