Customizing your theme replaces FundRazr\u2019s logo in the header and lets you change the header colour and font to match your website\u2019s branding. It\u2019s helpful to sketch out key points first, so in our workbook, we&#8217;ve included a sheet to write out key points for each of the following suggestions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A welcome message<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction to who your organization is and where you&#8217;re located<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your mission statement, guiding values, and\/or company motto<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who does your organization support? As in, who are the beneficiaries of the funds you raise, and how do you support them?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What else would you like your supporters to know?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#139dbb\"><strong>Professional fundraising campaign layouts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>FundRazr and PetFundr offer multiple layout options for organizations, including multi-tiered campaigns. These are two-tiered campaigns with as many sub-campaigns as you need &#8211; all with goals and funds adding up into a main campaign.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here are the current layout options:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Donation form<\/strong> &#8211; create a link from your website\/social media directly to this form to facilitate spontaneous donations or recurring donation programs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Peer-to-peer (multi-tier) <\/strong>&#8211; host an event (live or virtual) that your supporters can register to and fundraise using their own sub-campaign, with funds going directly to your organization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do-it-yourself (multi-tier) <\/strong><strong>&#8211;<\/strong> allow supporters to <em>choose<\/em> how they\u2019ll fundraise for your organization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Microprojects (multi-tier)<\/strong> &#8211; break down large goals and projects into smaller ones for higher chances of success<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Storefront <\/strong>&#8211; showcase swag or other items that contributors can receive in exchange for their donations, OR create a store of wishlist items your organization regularly needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#ff702a\">Donation forms for professional fundraising<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The most common question for donor forms is <strong>how many <\/strong>and <strong>what<\/strong> contribution amounts to pre-populate as suggestions for supporters. You can choose to use your average contribution (if you know it) alongside the low- and high-end amounts to create a range or increase them by 10% to try to encourage greater support. We recommend having 4 to 5 pre-populated options for contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, say your organization&#8217;s average contribution is $65, with a low end of $15 and a high end of $500. Since our average contribution is nearer to the low end of our contribution range, we worked around that to arrive at the final default contribution amounts as listed above: <strong>$15, $30, $65, and $100. &#8216;Other&#8217; <\/strong>remains available for those wishing to enter something different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:16px\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Descriptive amounts<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Descriptive amounts are great tools for showcasing your <strong>units of impact<\/strong>, which help communicate the emotional impact of a campaign story. Describe actual physical items, experiences, or the impact of the contribution on the beneficiary. <strong>Time to get creative!&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example &#8211; animal shelter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>$15 &#8211; <\/strong>Give a shelter dog an enrichment toy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>$30 &#8211; <\/strong>This is the cost of a grooming session for a street pup to look adoption-ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>$65<\/strong> &#8211; High-quality food for one dog for one month<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>$100 <\/strong>&#8211; Gift a training session for some of our dogs who need to learn some manners before they find their forever home!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong>Pro tip: Click \u2018Prompt for unrestricted usage of funds \u2018 in your Data collection menu to communicate with your supporters that funds will be applied to where they are needed most and remove their restricted use.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our workbook below has a sheet for you to try your own descriptive amounts out!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#ff702a\">Peer-to-peer professional fundraising<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Utilize your supporters and <em>their<\/em> communities<\/strong> <strong>to reach high goals and increase your donor base!<\/strong> Peer-to-peer fundraising is becoming increasingly popular, with virtual and hybrid events on the rise after the COVID pandemic prevented in-person events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fundraising teams and\/or individuals get their own sub-campaign to run, with all funds deposited directly to your organization. Planning is paramount, even in virtual events. Have fundraisers participate via video chat, or &#8211; for races or other events with physical activity &#8211; they can participate solo wherever they are.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>What is your date to open recruitment for fundraising?<\/strong><\/td><td>Will the event be live, virtual, or hybrid?<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>What<\/strong> <strong>will the event be?<\/strong><\/td><td>We&#8217;ve seen the classic races (walk, run, bike, etc.), hot-sauce eating, rappelling off buildings, etc.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>What is the overall campaign goal?<\/strong><\/td><td>Please refer to our <a href=\"https:\/\/hub.fundrazr.com\/2022\/08\/02\/campaign-strategy-toolkit\/\">Campaign Guide<\/a> for how to choose a goal.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Will you allow individuals, teams, or both to participate?<\/strong><\/td><td>Both are recommended!<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Team member goal<\/strong><\/td><td>This is your recommended amount for how much EACH fundraiser will raise, regardless if they are on a team.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Registration fee<\/strong><\/td><td>Registration fees aren\u2019t mandatory but are encouraged to ensure commitment.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Refer to the workbook below to plan out a potential peer-to-peer fundraiser for your organization.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#ff702a\"><strong>Do-it-yourself (DIY)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Let your supporters choose how to help you!&nbsp;<\/strong>DIY campaigns work much the same way as peer-to-peer, with a couple of subtle differences:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sub-campaigns show in a grid pattern that is continually randomized, so there is no competition factor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Usually not associated with one specific event (although it can if you wish).&nbsp;Instead, fundraisers register their campaign under your organization and choose their own goal, deadline, and how they&#8217;ll get the funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>An example of common DIY campaigns is birthday fundraisers: rather than receiving gifts, the fundraiser encourages contributions to your cause for their birthday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Brainstorm DIY campaign ideas in your workbook.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#ff702a\"><strong>Microprojects<\/strong>\u2122<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Microprojects\u2122 take large monetary goals and break them down into smaller, more easily obtainable goals while protecting the story&#8217;s integrity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For an in-depth description of Microprojects\u2122, including examples, <a href=\"https:\/\/connectionpoint.com\/fundraiserhub\/microprojects-the-small-idea-making-huge-impacts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">check out this article<\/a> on the HUB blog page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two types of Microprojects: Grid and Leaderboard. Which you use depends on if it makes more sense to have a competitive component or not. With the Leaderboard, your sub-campaigns list in order from most-to-least funds raised. Will the supporter be charged a return fee?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/connectionpoint.com\/help\/docs\/all-or-nothing-campaigns-what-happens-when-the-campaign-reaches-its-deadline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">All-Or-Nothing campaigns:<\/a> how long after the campaign deadline do you expect manufacturing\/printing\/production to take?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/connectionpoint.com\/help\/docs\/keep-it-all-campaigns-what-happens-when-the-campaign-hits-its-deadline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Keep-It-All campaigns:<\/a> are you shipping on demand or in batches?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delays: communicate delays with as much information as you can, as soon as you can.
